Building a new app business

I'm an entrepreneur as well as a developer, having started 5 businesses myself. And, of course, I've had a hand in helping tens of other people start their own app businesses.

I recognise that every app has business objectives which it needs to hit. Excellent code isn't good enough if the app doesn't deliver on its KPIs.

Here's the general stages of launching an app business:

1. MVP Development & User Feedback

We begin by building a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) focused on your core app idea. This initial version is designed for rapid development and cost-effectiveness, prioritizing essential features to get your app into users' hands quickly. Crucially, this stage is about gathering valuable feedback from early adopters to inform the next steps.

2. Launch Strategy & Iteration

Based on the user feedback gathered from the MVP, we develop a comprehensive launch strategy. This involves analyzing the feedback, identifying areas for improvement, and refining the app's features and functionality. We learn from the initial MVP release and iterate on the app based on real-world usage data.

3. App Development & Deployment

With a refined strategy in place, we move into the full app development phase. Building upon the MVP, we create a more robust and feature-rich version of your app. This stage includes rigorous testing to ensure a smooth user experience. Once ready, we deploy the app to the Google Play Store, making it available to a wider audience.

4. Monitoring, Analysis & Optimization

Post-launch, we continuously monitor user feedback, app performance, and market trends. We analyze this data to identify further opportunities for optimization and improvement. This iterative process ensures your app remains competitive, adapts to user needs, and achieves its full potential.
